On my way out the door to Shelby’s birthday dinner (holla!) but wanted to post this video just because I like the tune and it features hot guys wrestling in what looks to be milk. It reminds me of Domino Dancing, by the Pet Shop Boys. It’s by The Presets and is called This Boy’s In Love. European music is so much more interesting. What else? Oh, yes, still obsessed with that Brenda Dickson video I posted a few days ago. Also, my stomach aches because I ate too much cheese today at work in one of the conference rooms. It tasted good because it was free.

Dennis Quaid is a Daddy
March 7, 2008 · No Comments
I just saw the horrible hideousness that is Vantage Point. Dennis Quaid is one hot daddy, though. Otherwise it’s pretty bad. It is set in Spain, so there is some inherent beauty involved. But the plot is lame and there are so many great people in it. Forest Whitaker is good, though there is one scene that involves him doing all this running. This, of course, verges on science fiction. Dennis Quaid runs around a lot, too, and screams and is generally a hot daddy, but still the movie is boring and ridiculous. That’s my vantage point.

Mayday, Mayday
March 6, 2008 · 4 Comments
With the weather changing ever so slightly and Day Light Savings Time around the corner, my mind is drifting to some not so far off concerns. Like hair and makeup. To wit I’m busy studying photos of one of my idols, Grace Jones. The plan is for me to embody Ms. Jones, circa May Day in A View to a Kill, for Drag Invasion July 4th weekend on Fire Island with a lot of help from some more knowledgeable friends. Currently, I’m growing my hair out in order to have it cut later into that asymmetrical, uh, thing that she has going on. Remembering the movie, though, she’s kind of like me, or rather how I’d like to see myself. Fierce and a little evil, but managing to do the right thing in the end. While looking fierce and a little evil.

This is Greenwich?
March 4, 2008 · 2 Comments
To be fair, I’ve never been to Greenwich, Connecticut. I always thought it was kind of, well, waspy and horrible and why should I travel for such an experience when it’s available on the Upper East Side? Where I could at least pop into a museum or something. Anyway, my suspicions were confirmed the other day when parents protesting school construction delays and the presence of mold in temporary classroom trailers trotted about carrying signs that read: “This is Greenwich?” Uh, yeah.
