I Am Ashy Everyday
Today is Ash Wednesday so I ran out at lunch to get my ashes at a church near Times Square. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season, culminating in Easter, which this year will signal my friend Pippa’s move to London. It’s a rememberence that brings much to mind for me. Serious and thought-provoking matters, such as Why do I have such dry skin?! Can someone recommend a good all-over body moisturizer for the relief of ashy skin? I suspect Tyra Banks has it right when she says… petroleum jelly.

at least you are freely admitting that you are ashy….hope you are wearing socks to cover up the ashy feet and ankles!
who is? where is he?
i am not ashy. from time to time i do suffer slightly dry skin and a proclivity to exaggerate.
when i worked at the body shop when i first moved here my friend Nicole would explain that the mango body butter was for “dangerously dry skin.” i’m not like that. but thanks.

oh, robbie, petroleum jelly is the only solution. i don’t think you understand black, ashy skin. remind me and i’ll show you my ankles sometime.
